Directed by Walter Hill (48 Hours, The Warriors, Last Man Standing)

Starring Charles Bronson, James Coburn

IMDB Synopsis: “In the depression, Chaney, a strong silent streetfighter, joins with Speed, a promoter of no-holds-barred street boxing bout.”

I came across this movie on the instant download list of movies, and thought I would give it a shot because I like a bunch of other Walter Hill movies and this was his feature debut. Charles Bronson plays his typical tough-guy character very well, and ends up being a great reluctant hero. There is nothing extraordinary about the plot at all. No twists or surprises really, but for some reason it did grab my attention and kept me interested. Great to see a movie that is so simple, and still good. The drama comes from the characters, and their actions, desires, and desperation are all amplified by having the Great Depression as a backdrop.
